Cinema Alfresco — movies under the stars — happens every summer and is free and open to the public. The Cinema Alfresco program is selected from popular movies that in some way spotlight the theme of the festival in the following fall.
Screenings will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursdays from May 24 through July 26, at The Brickyard in Oldtown. Films will show rain or shine. Each film will be preceded by a Tallgrass Film Festival short film and at every screening, there will be drawing for a VIP TALLPass ($175) to the ninth annual Tallgrass Film Festival in October. Winners must be present to win. Under 21 welcome. Food & Drink specials available.

TFA Presents Cinema Alfresco: X at The Brickyard
TFA presents its annual, free summertime film series at The Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island, in Oldtown. Whether it’s X, 10 or ten, Cinema Alfresco will celebrate its 10th season with ten films displaying “ten” somewhere in the title. Each film will be preceded by a Tallgrass Film Festival short film and at every screening, there will be drawing for a VIP TALLPass ($175) to the 10th annual Tallgrass Film Festival in October. Winners must be present to win. Under 21 welcome.
Screenings, which are free of charge and open to the public, will take place Thursdays from May 24 through July 26, films begin at 7 pm and will show rain or shine. Doors open at 6 pm and The Brickyard will offer their new menu and drink specials.
