Sponsoring year-round Tallgrass Film Association Programs & Events
The Tallgrass Film Association offers many sponsorship opportunities for corporate sponsors and individual donors. As a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization, your donation is completely tax deductible. Sponsorships can be in the form of Cash, In-Kind Products and Services, and Media and Promotional Assets.
In addition to the annual Tallgrass Film Festival, the Tallgrass Film Association is dedicated to educating, enlightening and entertaining Wichita’s movie-going audiences through the Tallgrass Third Thursday film series, the annual summertime Cinema Alfresco series, Special Screenings, the Tallgrass Filmmakers Lab and Membership Events, and fostering community appreciation of the cinematic arts.

- With the inclusion of volunteers and out- of-town visitors, the total attendance to date (since 2003) is more than 60,000, with approximately 400 filmmakers and guests coming in for the festival from all over the world.

Tallgrass 3rd Thursday Screening Series: Curated by the Tallgrass Programming Directors, the Tallgrass Third Thursday film series is a monthly program featuring an independent film that whenever possible is enhanced by the appearance of a filmmaker, a Q&A session and reception, or by the addition of other artistic media or educational material to create a themed event. The screenings take place on the Third Thursday of each month at different Wichita locations and each event is a fundraiser for the Tallgrass Film Festival. - $1,500: Support of a film program, director appearance, reception, and additional event such as panel discussion or music group performance
- $1,000: Support of a film program, director appearance and reception
- $500: Support of a film program
Cinema Alfresco: The outdoor, summertime Cinema Alfresco series will take place every Thursday evening from May 26 to June 28. Screenings are free and are chosen by the Tallgrass Film Festival Programming Committee. Each series is programmed to support the theme of the Tallgrass Film Festival, and the 2011 theme will feature movies with “twist endings” to publicize TFF9’s “Get Twisted” theme. Food and cocktails are available for purchase at each screening. (Please inquire for this season’s list of proposed films.)
- $3,000: Sponsor the entire Cinema Alfresco season
- $1,500: Sponsor half of the Cinema Alfresco season
- $300: Sponsor an individual Cinema Alfresco screening
Tallgrass Special Screenings: Two to three Tallgrass Special Screenings are held throughout the year. These events could include a film screening, a musical performance or a themed party. These Special Screenings are designed for film fans to help publicize the festival and are fundraisers for the Tallgrass Film Association. - $1,000: Sponsor and brand a Tallgrass Special Screening
Tallgrass Filmmakers Lab: The TFL offers a minimum of four film-related classes or workshops throughout the year. Topics may include film appreciation, marketing, publicity and outreach for your film, film production, understanding the technology of movie making, screen writing, composing and special workshops given by Festival alumni filmmakers. Sponsorship of these classes includes air fair, hospitality and if applicable a small stipend for instructor, venue and advertising costs. (Please note the subject that you are interested in sponsoring.)
- $1,000: Sponsor a TFL class
TFA Member Appreciation Events: Each year, the TFA Association hosts two to three member appreciation events. These events might include a special screening or reception for our members, or a sneak peak at the Festival’s programming and events. Sponsoring a membership event is a great way to reach out to the community’s affluent art supporters and philanthropists.
