Tallgrass Film Association encourages students to attend the festival. The following programs are offered for students free or at a low cost.

Free Films Friday: A selection of educational films are offered free of charge for students (and seniors) with valid ID, between 9:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m on Friday, October 18th.

Filmmaker Roundtables: Various filmmaker panels and discussions will be offered throughout the weekend free of charge.

Filmmaker Workshops: Tallgrass Filmmakers Lab will present 2 Filmmaking Workshops during the festival. Workshops are $5 or are included in the price of a FILM SCHOOL TALLPass.

General Admission Ticket Discounts: All general admission film tickets are just $8 for students and teachers with valid ID. In addition, all films on Thursday and Friday before 5 p.m. are offered at the $5 matinee price.

Film School TALLPass: For the first time, Tallgrass will be offering a discounted Film School TALLPass for students with valid ID. The pass allows the bearer admission to all general admission films and Filmmaker Workshops ($80).

High school and college students are encouraged to volunteer at the festival. It’s a great way to meet people in the local and national filmmaking communities and a nice addition to any resume. For more information email volunteer@tallgrassfilmfest.com or call (316) 409-3376.
